Quick Note Tip: 3 x 3 note card and envelope

These cards are currently for sale
in my Etsy Shop (custom orders offered)
Need a quick note:  Make 3 x 3 cards.   They are super simple.

Materials needed

  • Cardstock (any size) cut into 3' x 6' strips
  • Patterned Paper cut into 2 3/4' x 2 3/4' squares
  • Small embellishments, if desired
  • Small rubberstamps, if desired
  • Ink for edging or rubberstamps
  • Envelops (hand or pre-made) 3 x 3
  • Optional:  index cards with lines, cut slightly smaller than the inside of the card.

Instructions:

  1. Fold cardstock in half.  Use a bone folder to crease.
  2. Note, you can also score at the 3' mark to keep the paper from splitting when creasing
  3. Adhere (glue) pattered paper, embellishment, or stamp on front of the card with rubber stamps.
  4. If you are using the lined index cards, adhere (glue) to the inside of the card.

Notes:

  • Try to match the background paper with the envelops or use Kraft, Black, White, or Ivory envelopes.
  • These note cards can be any size or shape you want.  be sure that you have the right size card with the right size envelope.
  • Perfect project for getting rid of large pieces of scraps
  • For Packaging:  use cello bags, boxes made for cards, or tie it up in twine or ribbon for the person who loves stationary sets.

Celebrating 8 years of Scraps Of Color (Day 2)

Welcome to SOC's 8th Anniversary Blog Hop! I'm glad you stopped by for the celebration! If you're dropping by from Cyndi's blog, then you're in the right place! However, if you started here, you can visit the SOC E:spire blog to join this party from the beginning!
To commemorate Scraps of Color's 8th birthday, I, along with some talented papercrafters, have teamed up to share projects based on the celebrations in our lives. We wanted to have this special blog hop to celebrate this great crafting community where we laugh, play, and create together and encourage and inspire one another. Of course, a blog hop isn't complete without blog candy! There will be giveaways on various blogs throughout the hop! Plus there will be a SOC blog hop gift awaiting one visitor!! To be eligible for that prize, you must comment on all the blogs by Monday, Oct. 8 at 11pm EST. From all who are eligible, one lucky reader will be randomly drawn. The winner will be posted on all the participating blogs on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
BLOG HOP ORDER:

Well it is day 2 of the blog hop, and so far, I am having a good time.  Today, I have a cute quick little craft for you to make, and it is super simple.  In fact for this project, all you need are your scraps of paper.  You to cut up strips of paper that measure 2"x4" and fold in half.  set aside.   Next take cut scraps of patterned paper measuring 2"x2" squares and glue ti the front of the card blank.   You now have little note cards, that you can add to presents.  You can make them any size you want, and it is a good way to use up your scraps.  These cards, I used scraps of DCWV Black Current and Lace and Linens.  You can also put a little embellishment on top.

The next card, I also made with my scraps.  It is color block card, but it wishes the adult in your life a happy birthday.  I used the DCWV Lace and Linen card stack.

Well that is it for today.  Next person is Kristen.  Please comment, and you have a blessed day.
